Panthertown is an Asheville-based investment and management firm specializing in hospitality, live events, and lifestyle-oriented consumer brands. We derive our name from Panthertown Valley, a spectacular 10,000-acre backcountry area in the nearby Nantahala National Forest referred to as the “Yosemite of the East,” where we often recreate and recharge.

Panthertown was founded by Sutton Bacon, a veteran CEO with operational experience across a variety of segments including retail, recreation, hospitality, consumer products, and events. He is also one of the most engaged members of the outdoor industry having served on a variety of prominent for-profit, trade, and non-profit boards. This experience gives him an unparalleled 360-degree perspective on the outdoor industry, and his accumulated network of colleagues and professionals provide unmatched access to the industry’s most influential leaders and trendsetters.
